Model 2206 Implement Lift

Howdy,
This is my first post and I have a question for all the Cub experts out there. I picked up a 2206 and I am doing some repair work on it. The implement lift shaft (looks like a "u" that the handle connects to to lift the deck ) has one of the arms broken on it and will not lift the right side of the deck. The part number is 603-0059-0716. It looks as if it could be welded but the replacement is $80.00. Any ideas should I just buy the part, get it welded, or any ideas on where to procure a used version? Thanks.

I am not into the newer Cubs but there are guys on here that are.

To answer your question, it depends. If you are a good fabricator, and can clean up the broken weld joint and re-weld it, then that would be a good way to go.

If the above is not available (Tools, Time or Expertise) then purchasing the replacement might be considered.

Pictures would be most helpful to better understand your situation.
