Is this too much clutch release lever wear?

I disassembled my clutch today to determine what wasn't broken, the pressure plates and throw out bearing look ok but the shaft is bad, and the spring is broken. The release lever has some wear around the center, there was not a teaser spring or spacer in between the bearing and the pressure plates, should there be?

What model Cub Cadet?

All of the manual trans IH Cub Cadets had a teaser spring.
Release lever needs replaced.

It is a Model 100

I would say yes that one has had a long life. . Yes there is supposed to be a teaser in between there. Are you sure that the bearing is good? That throwing lever is chewed up pretty good. One of the worse that I've seen at least from that angle.

Be sure to have your plates turned before you put it back together.

Thanks! I am having a machine shop turn the plates, the bearing spins freely, I am thinking the bearing has been replaced at some point because the shaft has a lot of wear but the bearing looks good, whoever replaced it might have left the teaser spring off.

According to another site, you can use a spacer and a 5/8" lock washer instead of a teaser spring. I have done this and it works fine.
