Why did they make the 364 blower and the 450 ?
 

Did the 364 blower come before the 450? Why did they make two so similar?

My understanding is that the 364 was IH's design. The 450 was CCC's improved design. The 364 looks more difficult to mount to me.

Actually, the 364 is pretty easy to mount. Drive over the frame, attach the PTO shaft, attach the frame to the rear mounts, and finally the lift links at the rockshaft.

The 190-364-100 Snow Blower was first introduced for the QL & 82 series tractors with sufficient power (11+ HP). There were 3 mounting kits. One for the Q/L, one for the 82 GT's, and one for the 82 SGT's. Later came the 190-450-100 by CCC more up-to-date for that time.
