Model 129 Newbie Question
 

I am glad I found this forum. I have tried to search for 129 but it will not find anything.

Is the Model 129 a garden tractor? Can I use a 3 point or sleeve hitch on it?
I have an opportunity to pick 1 up that is running with a mowing deck but the guy doesn't know anything else about it. It will only cost me gas and lunch to get it. I have some sleeve hitch implements already.

Welcome to OCC speckred17! Glad to have you here. Yes, the 129 is a garden tractor. You can use sleeve hitch attachments. Sounds like you are getting a great deal, on the 129. YUP....the 129 IS a Garden Tractor.

YUP...the 129 can utilize Cub's 3 Point Hitch System in conjunction with the Brinly Sleeve Hitch Adapter.


It is a 12HP Hydro Drive. It was the first series of Cubs that IH designed as the "wide frames".

A strong model and popular model.

By all means, latch onto this Cub.

Thanks alot guys. What quick response. I have alot about how great they are but haven't seen anywhere about hooking up attachments. I will probabley pick it up today after work. I will post pictures of it.

Anyone know where to get a sleeve hitch for it?

This post makes me wonder also..can my 109 with manual lift use a sleeve hitch or is this only for hydro models?

ANY IH Cub Cadet garden tractor (except the 982) can use the IH 3-point and Brinly sleeve hitch adapter. A spring assist is a good idea on manual lift tractors.

Great find on the 129! It will make a great tractor and can add pretty much any attachment that will fit other IH built cub cadets.
