NC Plow Day

Does anybody know if there is any kind of plow day, or something similar in NC. I know there is one in SC, but didn't know if there was a closer one. Thanks, and happy plowing

I dont know of any yet. This lawnmower club i am in is in the process of getting one started along with a swapmeet. Ill be happy to let you know when and if anything happens. The plow day would more than likely be in Union or Cabarrus county. Looking for a land donor right now and someone to step up to the plate and head up this operation. What part of NC are you located in?

A plow day in NC would be awesome! I started asking around last night at work to a couple of guys that have farm land no luck yet. Found out alot of farmers don't plow any more with the fuel cost and they spray the crop and let it die out they plant right over it. After a couple times of doing that the ground holds moisture better then plowing every thing under. So no luck yet. How much land would be needed for plowing? I live in Statesville so if I could find some donor land it would be in the Statesville area. I work a lot so anything that I could do would be on a Sunday if I didn't have to work. Glad to have a job tho!

I'm picking up my plow Friday going to do my garden even thou I'm getting a tiller Friday as well. The sad thing is that my two garden beds are 19x12 each so really don't have a need for the plow other then I want it. Once I get started I'll be at the end of my beds but planning on having fun.

Here is a link to a PDF of a show, swap meet, and plow day. I am not sure if it is a plow day for farm tractors or for garden tractors or both. It is going to be in Morganton, NC May 22, 2010.

I have no idea how much land would be needed. I am new to this plow day kind of stuff. Just very interested. Most of the guys in the club are more into the fix-up and show with the garden tractors instead of using them so a lot of land would not be necessary. Congrats on your tiller. Where did you find one?

David, Terry called me last week he found a gear box on the back of one of his cubs and went looking and found the tiller in one of the sheds. He thought for sure he sold it. It's sold now! Going to pick it up Friday morning. Getting a sleeve hitch and a plow off him too. I'm hoping he finds a creeper also! (wishful thinking)

You got any plans? Been calling but Terry told me about you and your phone have been playing hide and seek and the phone was still hiding very well hehe. Going to call Terry when I leave the house.
