Muffler gasket part number for diesels?
Does anyone have a Kubota number for the square gasket that goes between the manifold and the muffler on a Kubota diesel? Cub Cadet only shows their own part number, but Kubota has to have one too since it's their manifold and muffler.

If your gasket is not totally destroyed I'd just use some Permatex Ultra Copper silicone on it. For what it's worth that all that the Nascar guys use when they bolt the headers to the engines. I've used it on a few engines and so far no problems and it's what I will do on the 2182 I'm working on now. Other than that give your local Bota dealer a call.

Thanks Diesel Krazy!
Sam, I wish I could just give them a call, but I have to have a part number for them. They are a Kubota tractor and mower dealer, but not an Engine dealer if that makes any sense. If it isn't on a Kubota product like a tractor or mower they don't have access to the engine parts manuals. They can get the parts as long as I have a number for them though. Unfortunately, the nearest engine dealer is about 80 miles away. |
Thanks Diesel Krazy, I'll add that number to my list of parts. :beerchug:

At my local kubota dealer all she needs is the cub part # and she can cross it to a kubota #.
