125 Weight Bar/Aux. Battery Holder

4 Attachment(s)
I needed a weight bar and a holder for an auxiliary battery to operate a winch for a future idea/project. I came up with this, which will also use an adjustable ball hitch for towing log skidder, log splitter, log lifter, small trailer, etc..

Look at the first pic and just behind the battery you can see 2 3/8" bolts through the frame above the axle. There's another bolt above you can"t see between the 2 . Thanks for the compliments guys.

Looks good and innovative too.

I never seen a 12v battery quite like that one before. Must be for use in battery banks or commercial UPS, etc. ?

It's a deep cycle 120 amp reserve capacity battery 575 cca. Can use it to power winches or hook up a 2000 watt inverter to get 120volt ac power out in the wild or emergency power in case of a power outage. I have plans on putting an alternator hookup to charge it. Alternator will hook to the pto so it will be able to be removed as necessary (as soon as I get time to figure it out :bigthink: and install it :biggrin2:. Thanks everybody for the compliments.

A couple pics of adjustable hitch.

Nice work.

I noticed that there is no bracing to keep it from flexing side-to-side. When you are pulling something and turning it looks like it could flex and possibly damage the battery. Maybe not an issue but I'd hate for you to crack the battery case and get acid on your nice paint.

Very nice!
