Couple Originals

Talking with the wife (Nancy) Friday night, I said don't make any plans for Sunday morning, we have another road trip to make. She was like, now what, you going to get another tractor? Nope, two of them. :biggrin2:
So tomorrow morning we're heading out to pick up two Originals, don't know the numbers, don't care for what I'm getting the pair for. The son of the owner is selling them, don't know the whole story, not my business.
I'll report back tomorrow after we get back. Here are the pictures from the C.L add.

I'm doing the same thing with my Os. Deck and fenders from one, creeper from another. Always good to have spare parts

We got them home.
They aren't to, to bad. The one with the yellow frame is a Aug. 1962 tractor, and the other one I can't find a number. Looked where they normally are, and there isn't anything, not even where there was one that was ground away:bigthink:
Guy was honest and said he had no idea if they run, ran or not. Just that his father started to "restore" and now he is moving to a place where he can't keep the tractors so he is cleaning house. Told me everything was scattered throughout the shop, so he just bolted parts back on tractors.
I have the steering column for the one that was removed, but no steering wheel. Neither one looks like anything special. Both have real nice grills, ones a custom inside out:biggrin2:
Also a real nice dash tower that's been blasted and primed. I'll figure out what's what later.
Is there anyplace else to look for the numbers? Anyone know what that springy thing is near the exit chute?

Todd,

Nice find today, that springy thing is to keep your feet away from the discharge chute, very rare and hard to find.Worth $$$$ prolly more than you paid for the load, hehehehe

The "springy thing" is the original discharge guard. They are fairly hard to find usually they are missing or rusted out/mangled up.

Todd,
Looks like you saved two more! Should be lots of parts there for you.
Regards,
Chris
