Hi all I been a technician for 20 years but only work mostly with high voltage so I don't know a lot about charging systems on tractors . I was wondering if I put a 15watt load to run a utra bright LED lamp if the charging system would be ok with this load on it . I know 15 watts at 12 volts is 1.25 amps . I wasn't sure if to much load would hurt the generator i'm issuming is on the tractor? Oh its a 76 cub cadet 1200 ... I wanted the light to plow snow in the dark . Any help would be appricated . 15 watts shouldn't hurt a thing.

The charging system on that series of tractors was 15 Amps. You should have no problem with your project.
