Making a wiring harness for my 126
I removed the original harness and was checking the wire for size. It looks like the new ones are made from SXL wire and thats what I will use. From what I can tell in measuring the original I will need #4 going to the solenoid and S/G. What should I use for the other wires? I measured the OD of the existing and I'm getting #8 on some and #6 on others. I used my calipers and a NEMA standard for wire size but I don't think this is correct so any help would be appreciated. I could just buy a new harness but that would be too easy. Thanks.

For general wiring, I use 14 MTW. It is 14GA and pliable enough to work with.
The Battery cables should be at least 4 GA. |

Thanks, R. I have a few more questions. I purchased a 104 with a spring assist, 3 point and creeper. I'm removing them to put on the 126. I am making a new driveshaft with new parts for the creeeper (as per Matt G) and I know that I need a top bracket for the 3 point. I didn't see in any of the parts or tractor manuals about installing a spring assist on a 126. Thanks.

I do know someone who sells a wire harness for your 126. The cost will be $70. Some models are less.
