2072 getting gas in oil

Hey guys,
My 2072 is getting gas in the oil and when I removed the air cleaner I noticed oil on top of the carb. What's That about? Is it a bad fuel pump or bad needle and seat in the carb? Thanks.

Sounds like it is time for a new fuel pump and maybe a breather valve too.

Check the carb, I had the same issue and the carb I had just rebuilt 4 months ago was full of brown gel-like beads of crud from moisture in the fuel. But it could also be the needle valve is not sealing. If that's not it maybe the fuel pump.

Ok, I figure the same thing, thanks guys.

Am I better to get a carb off a kt17 or rebuild this one? It's a walbro.

Nick, you can also put a #26 carb on it.

I think the consensus is; ditch the Walbro. :beerchug:

Probably have to swap the throttle shafts.
