1572 Alternator Wiring

The blue wires coming out of the alternator: does the polarity matter? I do not think it does since it is AC but it is better to be safe than sorry. Thanks guys for the help. I am in the process of changing the starter out.

The two blue wires are AC voltage. Thus, it does not matter on the polarity.
