I agree with everything except the anaerobic sealer. That is not meant for gaskets. I'm sure the guy posting has had good luck with it because it is a good product, but that is not what it's for. Cork gaskets seal fine when you install them dry.

I followed that and used a light coating of gasket sealer and it worked fine.

I've also had good results with the Permatex red-brown concoction. Stays sticky and I don't worry about it hardening, breaking off and falling into the "works."
