Valspar rattle can paint

Just a heads up for those of you that were happy with the Valspar rattle can paint from TSC, you can get it from Lowes as long as you buy a case of 6 cans. I just ordered a case of IH White for my "O" to paint the deck. The paint dept will need to special order it and you have to pay up front but if your like me and are in the middle of a project at least you can still get it.

Wow, thanks for the insight. Case IH dealers have really good paint but it is really expensive too.

I thought the amount of solids in a spray can (per ounce of paint) was so low, that painting something like a mower deck would result in poor paint life.

Do you not get better paint life if "quart or gallon" type paint were used? :bigthink:

I typically only use a spray can for a little bracket, or a low wear item, or something that will never be out in the sunlight.

I agree that it won't last as long but it also is not going to be doing anything. No cutting of the grass for it. It's just for looks.

Well, I don't think this will help right now.... But, I was in a senior collage prep art class for two years... and we would spend two days plus, mixing paint.. I also was a painting contractor for 7 years.. So I was planning myself to use rust-oleum caned paint.. with a spray gun.. I am sure with all the colors they have.. the colors should not be to hard to come up with the proper mixes.. in my cleaning up my 1250 post. I was gonna introduce the mix.. I am just not at that point yet.. my 129 still has the orig. paint job.. so I was gonna use that as my reference. again, I am too looking at price for the paint.. It is ridiculous.. So, this is my fix.

You can also get the Valspar paint from Amazon but you have to order six cans just like at Lowes.

My local hardware actually had the Valspar sitting on the shelf, I asked the manager and he said they replaced Magic with it, too many complaints. He also said he could order in other colors if anyone needed something different than what he had.

Valspar actually makes Cub Cadet's paints.
