1450 not turning over
I'm having trouble getting my 1450 to turn over. Battery and engine are fine. I'm thinking its something to do with a safety switch or neutral switch or the like because it was starting and running beautifully. Does anyone know of such a switch that may be dirty, out of adjustment, or damaged? Where is it located? And how do I know if it needs replacement?

There is a Neutral Safety Switch that is engaged when the Left Brake Pedal is depressed. The switch is located on a bracket on the under side of the frame, near the pedal. Two wires go to it. AS A TEST.....you could temporarily jumper these two wires to test the starting circuit.

Item 15 is the neutral safety switch. Pull the two wires off the switch, connect them with some copper wire. If the switch is bad, they are hard to find. Be aware, when the switch is by-passed the engine will start if it is gear.

Don the start circuit also goes through normally closed contacts of the Pto switch. Have you tries to wiggle the Pto switch while in the start position? You'll have to get a test light and look at quiet line wiring diagram if these two tests don't solve your issues.
