Too fast
 

Had this problem with the 149 hydro, being too hard to control the speed/ power, in rough going with the turning plow and push blade. Not enough hands, for the lift, steering and hold the hydro lever. Decided I needed a way to control the max speed, without holding the lever. So put a short bolt through the cam slot. Adjusted it, to set the yard/garden speed to my choice. Want to change it? Loosen it and slide it very little to reset. Now, that Yella' mule is back under control, and a pleasure to plow with.

Why didn't you just tighten the friction nut so it would stay where you set it?

WHY?
 

Because, in very rough going, forward to reverse, and back repeatedly, needing to continuously adjusting lifts, steering, re-setting trans is just too much trouble. We're talking very rough. This way, I just hit the lever, and concentrate on the rest of the control. It's not for everyone, but works great for me.

Hey if it works for you thats all that matters. The mod is easily removed without any damage to the machine. Dosnt look like anything was drilled. Cool
