1641 Cub Cadet Question
I'm having trouble with my 1641. It is a late serial number. It immediately blows 20 amp fuses when I turn to start position. I'm trying to isolate problem.
I've checked the start solenoid. It appears to be fine. Previous looks like has wired black, gray, and violet wires together (bypassing reverse mow switch?). I am trying to disable seat switches and clutch/brake switches. These switches have NC and OC for normal open and normal close. (Correct?) Does this mean I only need to jump the ones that say normally closed and the ones that say normally open - don't do anything? just unplug them? Looking at the wiring diagram for the brake switch -- do I jump the left to right wires or the top/bottom wires? Thanks for any feedback. Fred |
Put a 12V light bulb in place of the fuse, then disconnect stuff until the light goes out.
When the light goes out, you found the problem!! :bigthink: |
