Didn't know these were built for MF/Snapper too but it is the same as a Cub Cadet 356 tiller and a Sears model also. It was on CL for about 2 weeks, I didn't need it but I just can't say "NO" to cat 0 stuff.:bash2:

Here is the same 356 Cub Cadet tiller that came with my dad's 982.

Nice find! That 982 looks great with that tiller hooked up to it. Thanks for sharing those cool pics.

Ok. I'm jealous Todd!! I didn't know that snapper had a tiller. Good to know we have options! If you really look at the Deere rear tillers (not the cat 0's) and the IH rear tillers (sleeve hitch style) they look identical except for the mounting.

As far as manufacturers I have searched for this info before to no avail. My best guess is Ohio Steel, but I don't know. FWIW, I am almost 100% certain that the only thing IH really made were the tractors. I have never seen a archive pic, or heard of a plant that made the CC implements. In every pic, you see them installing the particular attachment, already assembled and painted. I'm not basing my info from this alone. I've noticed that all attachments have "look alike's" in other brands. Plus, it really is normal for a company to "farm out" the making of smaller things.

Congrats on the tiller Todd:beerchug:
Little, or a lot of paint and decals and no one but you, and us would be the wiser.:biggrin2:

:beerchug: Like stated, that is a biggen. Makes my tiller look like a midget. You should be able to till the back 40 with that. :American Flag 1:

Actually Lew, I think Todd gave $50 for it, a semi-Lew price. A Lew price would've been $25.

Todd,
Glad to see ya snagged that badboy! Looks good on the back of the Cub. I'd clean her up and paint it white. :biggrin2:
As hard as those are to find, aren't ya glad I talked you into it? :biggrin2: :beerchug:
