CC149: Won't stay in Neutral

Today was the first start on my 149 after a total restoration. Just have one problem that I didn't have prior.
When I depress the brake pedal the transmission shifts to neutral. When I release the brake pedal the transmission shifts to reverse.
With the dash shift lever removed it stays in neutral with the brake pedal released. The weight of the dash shift acts as a lever moving the transmission to reverse.
I imagine something needs to be adjusted. Don't know what though.
Any thoughts out there on this?

The friction nut on the hydro lever needs tightened. Look in your chassis service manual, it tells you how to adjust it. If you don't have a manual, go to the tech section and download the one for your machine. :beerchug:

OK. Thanks. I'll give it a try.

Yep, download the service manual, here's the link to it.

J-Mech you were exactly right. Tightened the friction nut and it's back to normal. Thanks.
