Mild hop-ups

I've been searching here and other places online. I'm wanting to add a little more power to my 127. I do only mow with it, so I don't actually NEED more power, but I'd like to add a few more horses if I could. I like tinkering and hot rodding things. But with my 127, I don't want to ruin it. I'd rather do bolt on type things that can be taken off, without trashing it.
So far, I've added an LP head. I've had this head for a good amount of time. Recently, the tractor blew the head gasket, so I figured I'd throw the LP head on since I had it apart. I thoroughly cleaned all the carbon off the top of the block (piston, valves and such). I can't necessarily feel a difference in the power, but it is more responsive, which is a plus. I still want to be able to hop on and fire it up when ever I want without it becoming a pain in the butt.
Where I live, we have "Twin City Days", which is a parade/car show/tractor show type thing. I drive my 127 there and park it with the big tractors.
A part of me wants to throw a cam in it, just for the sound of it, but I don't know enough about these small engines to do so.
With all that said, does anyone know of any "bolt on" goodies I can throw on this?

Most collectors/enthusiasts that I know of like the attention that a rare feature or attachment gets when they show their tractor. Probably one of the neatest mods I have seen is a raised cub for crop rows in a a strawberry patch or an articulated cub. Perhaps I am not understanding your question correctly, I am not for sure if you are wanting more power out of your cub or more of a wow factor for your cub.....

I want more power, without tearing into the engine. I don't necessarily want attention. The tractor gets plenty of that. I just was curious if there were any bolt on style parts that would give me 1-5 more horse power. I'm new to messing with these engines, so don't flame me too hard.
The tractor show part was just a bonus, I guess.

When your talking about an engine that only make 12hp to begin with there's really no way to just bolt anything on to give you 1 to 5 more HP, if there was everybody would be doing it. If you wanted to get into the internals you could get those gains but that's not what your looking for.

Thanks, Olds. That's what I was looking for.
I've thought about an air filter and coil upgrade. Figured they'd compliment the LP head, but, I'd prob be wasting my money and peeing in the wind.
Like I said, I don't need the power, I just like messing with things.

I agree. That's why I didn't want to do anything that would decrease the value or take away from it being original. Bolt on things can easily be removed and it put back to stock. I'll leave it alone. I have plenty other toys to mess with....

If you wanna add a little more power to it...... Bump up the timing about 2-3°, and set the high-idle, no-load to 3800 RPM. Then set the governor to one, or 2 holes above stock setting. That'll help it.

Here's another question. No need to start a new thread. I would like to add AG tires in the rear and 3 rib in the front on narrow wheels, along with polished aluminum wheels. Now, I found the AG tires and Douglas wheels for the rear. I'm not sure what back spacing I'd need, but the Miller site said they were 4". I haven't removed the stock rear wheels, but by eye balling with a tape, it looks somewhere around 2"-2 1/2". The AG's I picked are 23/10.5/12. I do still want the new tires/wheels to fit with the mower deck.
As far as the front, I'd like to run narrow Douglas wheels with a narrow 3 rib. But, I don't know what size.
Any pointers on front and rear sizes?

None of that would hurt it? I read not to go over 3600 rpm. Just asking because I don't know and I want it to last a long time.
