Trans fluid change procedures
I have a gasket, spin-on filter and two gallons of hydraulic fluid, and I want to service my 1650 tractor this weekend. Is there a written procedure to complete this task I can follow? Can someone point me in the right direction?

Get a large pan to catch the oil.
Basically: * Remove the rear cover and drain. * Clean the rear end up. * Change out the Hydraulic Filter * Install a new Rear Cover Gasket and install cover * Re-fill with Hydraulic Fluid. |
So the rear differential is inside and visible when the cover is removed, and it is lubed by the hydraulic fluid?
This means gear lube is not used? OK, sounds easy enough. I'm planning to servicing all fluids/grease on my new 38 year old mower this weekend. Thanks! |
