Is the on position up or down on the switch

Originals had a a key switch, not a toggle. :bigthink:

How about a picture of this "toggle switch".

My original came with a toggle that will be changed ASAP to the proper keyswitch. On mine when the switch is up it is on. Take a meter or test light and connect it from ground to the positive side of the coil. Then try the switch. When the switch is on, you will have power to the coil. On mine the starter button will turn the starter no matter what position the switch is in. The switch only turns power on and off to the positive side of the coil.
