I picked up an Original last night.
I went and picked up an Original. I'm new to the Originals. It seems like its in decent shape for a 1962. Everything seems like its original and unmolested from what I can tell. Again I am new to these. It runs and drives nice. The engine does smoke a tiny bit but runs smooth and has good power. I was told it has been sitting in a garage for years. The only real issue I see is the fuel line from the sediment bowl to the carburator leaks. It's a hard line with fittings on the ends that use a piece of rubber tube inside to seal. Does anyone know where I can get the replacement seals and what size they are? Also the throttle lever doesn't want to stay at full throttle, it creeps back to idol. I have to look to see how I can tighten it up. I will be cleaning it up and checking things out this morning. I will also change the oil today. What type of oil and how much is needed for the rear axle? Pictures will be posted shortly. Thanks.
