Wanted: #26 carb for a 1250
 

The head on my main throttle shaft busted off leaving the threaded part in the main shaft. :angry::bash2: So, I need some help. Either a carb or the main throttle shaft with butterfly and screws.

Why do you need a part number for a #26 carb?

Why can't you just drill out the broken screw and re-tap the shaft?

Just for reference you can. If it is the butterfly screw he's talking about.

Here's the reference part. They are a #3-48 screw. Nobody keeps them. I have a box that I ordered from McMaster Carr. Brass screw. Also had to order a tap from them as it's so small nobody keeps a tap. Not even my local machine shop had one smaller than a #4. They are brass screws and drill easy...... if they're original. :beerchug:

Because his ad said "Wanted Carb" so if he wants a new one I would need the part number.

You sound like the guys at the small engine shop I go to to buy Kohler parts.
whats a #26 carb?? it has a 26 stamped in the throat of the carb. If it has that you should be in business.
