You might try the Sponsors listed at the top of the page.

That looks like a pretty generic spring. I bet you could go to a local hardware store and find a suitable replacement. Grummerts True Value comes to mind, maybe Napa. Just bring your old one (or the pieces of it) with you and they should be able to set you up with something close enough to work. It is just a spring, after all; nothing Cub special about it. :beerchug:

That is a common Cyclops part. Try the sponsors at the top of the page or member rweaver. Here is a pic of what your looking for. As the others have said you sould be able to find something that will work at a Home supply store or at McMaster Carr http://www.mcmaster.com/# search for springs, they show torsion springs

Just throwing this out as a supplier for odd springs, look up Century spring on the net. They supply to industry and have tons of stuff in stock. I'm certain they have order minimums but if you can't find a suitable replacement, they may be your best shot. I've never found any one else that had 1/10th of what they carry.

Thanks to you all for the advise, I was able to find an entire tilt mechanism on ebay for about 20 bucks so I went a head and got it, seemed like the easiest route to go especially if when I tear into it, it is more than just a busted spring.
thanks
