149 Hydro lever
 

The hydro leaver on my 149 has lost all of it's friction resistance. Moves very easily and tends to move on it's own to the extreme limits. Makes for very touchy use. :bash2:
Any easy fix's, what should I look for?

Sounds like the "friction" disc needs attention.

There was a change in the Hydro Control Lever during the 1x8/9 series. Attached is the image for both.

Go to the Technical Library Section, and D/L the Service Manual for the 1x8/9 Series and look on pages 2-55 & 2-56 on how to determine and adjust.

Mine has the clamp type on it. I tightened it up and sure works better now.
