Cub 102 engine swap?

I have a cub 102 with the 10 hp kohler (k241). I'm want to swap it out for a 14hp kohler. would this be as simple as a bolt together swap or would this require major fabrication?

It would NOT be a simple swap out.

OCC member Sam Mac { OCC moderator} made it fit and look easy! Check out his thread on his model 71 for a inside look as to what is typically required in such an upgrade.

As the others have said it's not a bolt in, here is the link to the one I did.

i thought I read some where that if you took a 14hp block piston and cranks and used the bearing plate, flywheel and tins from a 12or even a 10hp motor you could make it work

maybe I am mistaken

I think you are right about that. Maybe Jon or Don will chime in.

it would eliminate having to do anything to the frame and look "stock"

Found this in the engine area

The OP started two threads on the same topic. I didn't respond, because in the other thread dvogtvpe told him about putting the 12HP parts on the 14 block. Yes, it can be done, but it still isn't a "simple" swap out. :beerchug:
