1974 Quietline Restoration
2 Attachment(s)
Here is the first pictures of my restoration. This is when I pulled it out of a barn in Central IL. I have the hood, fenders, grill, tires, and other parts pulled off and repainted. I have a goal of having it done by the 4th. I will take more detailed pictures once complete. Thank you in advance for any suggestions or ideas. Chris

Welcome. That looks like a nice machine you have there. Are you keeping it red or taking it back to yellow and white? Where abouts in il are ya from?I'm about twenty minutes north of peoria.

Thanks Cubby 102. I do have a quick question. I was having a hard time taking the muffler off. Any suggestions on how I should go about that would be greatly appreciated. Thank you, Chris

Nice QL! Looking forward to the finished product.

Good looking machine! And I'll add another where in Illinois are you? I'm more Northern, about 40 minutes east of the Quad Cities.
I may be looking at this pic wrong, but are you painting the deck undercarriage while it's on the tractor? It looks like you have it taped off for painting :bigthink: http://onlycubcadets.net/forum/attac...5&d=1403577640 |
Thank you everyone. Jimbob, I have already painted the frame but I noticed some imperfections on some of the red so I was being a little picky.

It should be bolted on then a little clamp type deal where the muffler goes on the elbow. You may need to work it off rust could be holding good

Thanks cubby. I'll get back to it this evening if the mosquitoes don't carry me away.:beerchug:
