Not a Cub but really cool
 

got this for free a few years ago had a blown wisconsin on it. my brother gave it a rattle can paint job and a chinese honda clone engine this thing mows great and covers alot of ground fast. i know its not a cub but its pretty neat and was saved from the scrap man
edit you cant see in pics but there is another reel mower in the back .... oh yeah they were not too concerned about safety back then

Do you know what the brand name on it is and what powers the reels?

Looks like an old National to me. Used mostly on golf courses around greens and bunkers because there very stable on side hills. I spent many hrs on a slightly newer one for two summers working at a course. Everything is belt driven, the one I drove kept throwing the high gear belt and the useless "mechanic" couldn't figure it out so I was stuck in low gear. At lunch you had to hope someone remembered to come pick you up, otherwise it could take you 20 min to get back to the garage at a snails pace.

this one has 2 speeds fast and faster the lower gear you run with reels ingaged the high gear is for travel. i think this one was made by national mower co.

That is defiantly a national bat wing fair way mower , lots of fun when working right, & great for drag racing after hours !
