Would like your opinions.

I currently have a 1650 and a 782. My friend and are building the PF Engineering loader, have the sub-frame done at this point. Anyway I'm wondering if I could get opinions on which tractor I should put the loader on. Both tractors have original paint schemes.

The 782 has 1" spindles already and I think it would be a better workhorse with the loader and someday might sport a diesel engine, so I vote for the 782. Not the 1650 couldn't be outfitted with these with some work, but I think the 782 would also look neater with the loader, too.

His 1650 already has the 1 inch spindles. But I agree the 782 would look much better with it

I'd go with the 782 also.

I'd put it on the 1650. Which tractor would you rather cut grass, blow snow, plow, or rototill with? The 782. Can't easily use it for that with a loader handing off the front.

For me, I'd never want a loader on a CC. too hard on the front end.

I'd do the 782. I think it'd be easier (at least in my mind) to add anything extra you might need (think: pump for the loader). Also, in the future, it would be easier to swap a different engine into whether it be a Kohler Command or Magnum, maybe even a diesel, just because of the wiring harness and mounting plate. Plus, to me, it'd look better on a red machine :beerchug:

For me, 'it depends'.

Put it on the tractor that you DONT use for other things. So if you push snow, or blow snow, put it on the tractor that you dont want to use for these other duties.

Same for pulling a trailer.

A loader takes away some maneuverability and doesnt swap on/off easily, so pick the tractor you use the most or that has the most versatility, then put the loader on the other one.

I'm confused by your post. You said that you would put it on the 1650, but showed a picture of one on a 782 and you mentioned about how it would be easier to swap engines out and put it on a red machine.....:bigthink:

Fixed my post. That's what I get for posting at work and trying to concentrate on several things at once :biggrin2:
