Location dictating availability
just curious to see what tractors are most plentiful in certain areas so post up your general location and the tractor you see the most of for sale in your area.
im from indiana pa and 60% of the tractors for sale in my area are 126 or 127. |
I see a lot of 129's in my area (Midwest). I've owned 5 myself, but I am seeing more 125's and 126's recently come up for sale.
Cub Cadet 123 |
Seems they all are pretty plentiful in Illinois. Condition is the kicker here. Most of the tractors I find are no-runners, or been sitting in the corner of the shed for a long time.....or in the weeds. Finding a runner that people just want to sell is harder, and then they want a mint!

Within 50 miles of my house there are exactly NO Cub Cadets ANYWHERE!

I live close to J-Mech here in east central Illinois. There seems to be an abundance of Cubs in this area. Just last week I went out to look at a 682 and 782 that I bought. Found an original,100,1450, and 1650. This past weekend I found another 682,1250,149 and 1811. All but the 149 are for sale.
Seems I just stumble across Cubs every week! I think there was a very strong IH dealer presence in this area. I'm sure that's why some areas are still very Cub "fertile". |
Around Waynesboro, GA it is hard to even find an older cub. There are a few newer MTD cubs once in a while that are mostly ragged out.

Northern Shenandoah Valley.
QLs are everywhere around here.. Narrow frames are scarce... This area was and is rather expensive with houses on several acres or more. People needed strong garden tractors and could afford the expensive (at the time) Cubs... |
