when was my 70 made?
 

only number i can find besides the model 70 on the hood is on the lower right hand side of the trans case and its 385058R1 what year is my lil 70?:bigthink:

Dad's86: That R1 number is a casting part number NOT the serial number of the tractor.

On the right side of the transmission case, look and see if you can see a stamped number on that boss you will find there

BTW, a picture location of the serial number is found on page 3 of your Operator's Manual....

found it. its 92658 looks like made in aug of 1964:beer2:

Ah yes, 1964, I was sitting in Northern Paskistan near the Afganistan border keeping microwave transmitters operational as we listened in to transmissions out of the USSR.
And for you old timers out there, it is the base that Gary Powers and his U2 took off from.
Now for all the kids out there, U2 is a spyplane, not Bono's group.
