"$&@;;:! Kids!"
So a couple days ago while mowing the back yard I spun a bearing on the idler on the cut deck. So I parked it by the back porch till I could make room in the shop. Fast forward to this morning. I come home from work, when I go to put tractor in shop to start repairs. I find that the gas cap is off and the kids play shovel is next to rear wheel and a significant amount of dirt and sand is all over the seat, controls, ect. And down in the gas tank!!!!! Not the welcome home I was looking for! Just had to share.

Your kids or "good neighbor" kids ? ? ?
Makes a difference when you get your cub running again if you can run 'em down or not.......:p:p:p I know you really can't do that, but just thinking about it......... |
Good thing your a fairly good detective and put 1, 2, and 3 together.

OUCH! When may Dad bought his 127 ages ago (he bought it "gently" used about 35 years ago) someone had shoveled a bunch of sand into the tank! It took him years to eventually get it all out (he was too cheap to add an inline filter, of course). I can't remember all of the times he had to take the float bowl off and dump sand and gas out of it in the middle of mowing.
Glad you caught it when you did! You're making me second guess my decision to leave my 149 under a tarp this summer... :bigthink: |
My brother ran into a tree with the front corner of Dad's 782 and the hood hasn't been able to shut the same ever since.
