K321 ?
:Morning: Has anyone converted a K321 to a gear drive starter from the S/G. If so will the gear drive starter bolt on where the S/G bolts? This engine is in a CC149. Thank you for your time. :American Flag 1:

yes it does. as long as your block has the scallop above the mount pad for the starter. pretty sure all the 14 blocks did, I know not all the 10's and 12's did

My K301 in my 129 was converted. Just so you know, the front bearing plate, flywheel and tins also have to be changed. The flywheel with the ring gear is larger diameter, so the tins have to be larger to accommodate. The bearing plate has to be changed so that you have the bolt bosses to fasten the stator.

14 already has the larger bearing plate. might not have the cut out for the starter. I know the shroud don't have the hump needed

:Morning: Thank you Guys for your replies. I have a few jobs in the shop to get out before under taking this project. I am not interested in going the stator route, If possible it will stay battery ignition. Does anybody know if the flywheel has the indentation for the ring gear? There is no pop out for the gear starter on the shroud, so that being was there any difference in the overall dia. between the gear starter and the S/G flywheel shrouds? Thank you for your time. :American Flag 1:
