Muffler advice on my #1250?
The exhaust pipe needs to be extended by aprox. 4" on my # 1250 so that its belching beyond the the grill. (?)
What would be the EASIEST way to do this? I'm sure there is a simple solution? Buy some kind of pipe & clamp it on? What would you do? Thanks in advance for any easy, simple solution. The exhaust is aprox. 1 1/4" Nik, http://i210.photobucket.com/albums/b...pslldtalrv.jpg |

Other option may be to get that nice and round then see if you can find a pipe that will slip inside it then clamp or weld it. Looking at your pic I'm afraid it will be hard to get it to stay if it slips over the outside. If I was going over the outside then I'd weld it to the muffler, just my 2 cents. |

Short piece of 1-1/4" thin wall electrical tubing is what I use on all my Q/L's
Do you have the screen with the oval hole in it? I usually extend the pipe through the screen and miter the end then miter another short piece and weld to it to keep the exhaust off of the snow thrower in the winter as well as keeping the exhaust pointed away form the ground to avoid killing/scorching the grass during mowing season as well. |

I would fix the tear in your pipe then a under the sink 90 deg. pipe fits perfectly. I hold mine on with a muffler clamp.

You could get another QL muffler Nik that has the extended outlet pipe.
