On the home stretch of my O restoration!
3 Attachment(s)
sorry i've been lax on the pictures and updates fellas, but here is a few pics almost complete. working on re-installing the wiring harness shortly!
I did very well with taking tons of pictures during the whole process to help me get it back together. unfortunately, i lacked on taking pics of the proper routing and mounting spots for the throttle and choke cables !!:Help: could anybody point me in the right direction? thanks |
Looks awesome, keep up the good work.:beer2:

Your Original is looking great! Hopefully, someone can post some pics for you of those areas.
|
That looks great! Did you paint with a gun or can?
|
Awesome job!
:beerchug: |
i painted everything with a can. i used one of those handy spray gun handles that attaches to the top of a spray can, got it at home depot. it was a total world of difference, no more cramped fingers! :beer2:
i must say it would have been much more difficult to achieve this much completion without the wealth of knowledge on this website. between different how-to threads, other peoples' struggles, and the chassis manual, i was able to go more in depth of the restoration that was planned. so cheers to that!:biggrin2: |

I've never worked on an "O" so I don't know if this will help, but my 72 had a K181 in it, so maybe this is the same? Not sure.

I just did this with the throttle cable,I cheated and looked at my other one...
The manuals on this site show how it is routed on page 14 of the operators manual.Through the slots on the dash tower, then under the battery box,and then it comes out the bottom on top of the frame. Then it connects to a clip on the bolt that holds on the oil pan on.The choke is the same way but is not bolted anywhere. |
Very sharp 0! And they say spray cans dont do a good job!
