149 tune up parts and cranks slow

Time to get the 149 ready for another summer. I'm looking for part numbers for the coil, points, and condenser. If anyone has Napa numbers, that would be even better.
Also, the thing seems to crank slow. The battery is new and all the connections are clean. Is the S/G possibly getting tired? Still seems to charge fine though.. Any thoughts here? :bigthink:

Are you partial to NAPA? I can give you Primeline part numbers and you can get them at O'Reilly's.

On the S/G pull it and clean the comm and brushes. You'd be surprised how much difference it makes. Plus, it grounds to through the case. When you take it off, shine the bracket and gen at the mount. Little rust there will slow it too.

Or take your IH part numbers to TulsaEngineWarehouse.com

I think the condenser for instance is like $2.

Using that llink I was able to find the Kohler part numbers. I'm going to try Napa tomorrow to see if that have a listing or can cross them over.
J-Mech, I use Napa mostly since there's a store a mile away. I don't know of an O'Reilly's anywhere near here. Thanks for the advice on the S/G, I'll give it a shot.

Could hydro linkage slightly out of "true neutral", cause some drag?

If the tractor isn't trying to creep when cranking, then no.

I did a quick search but didn't find anything.
Has anyone done a write up of a SG rebuild?

I'd like to give mine a go thru, but don't want to let the magic smoke out when I hook it back up
