Picked Up A 1200 Today!!
2 Attachment(s)
Today I picked up a real nice original model 1200. Runs and drives excellent! The mower deck is near perfect and has a creeper gear!!:beer2: This is my very first Quietline series Cub and I now know why they are called "Quietlines" after having Originals you can hardly hear this thing:biggrin2: I have a couple questions right off the bat...does the 1200 take a steering wheel cap or the decal? I would like to have one of those. Also the PO has a piece of wire tying the side panels together with a piece of wire above the engine. Was there a rod or some kind of bracket that was to fasten the side panels? Other than those two minor things the tractor seems great. Any help is appreciated as always.

Martin,
nice find on the 1200,creeper is a plus. there should be a long spring connected to the side panels, and there were two different steering wheels, got a pic of yours, and we could tell you what you need. |
Congratulations on getting your first QL 1200! I just mowed 5 yards with my 1200 today. You are really going to enjoy that cub in great original condition. My 1200 has the decal tin on it.

Great find Martin. X2 on the creeper, very nice. You should also have thumbscrews on the rear of each side panel as well. Congrats on your quiet line.

Congrats on the 1200 Martin! You are on a roll!
Remember to check the iso mounts and the driveline in it. I'm trying to see the steering wheel from the pics and still can't make it out. If the steering wheel has the finger indentations on the bottom it takes the decal and if it is smooth it takes the cap. If that makes sense!:biggrin2: |
