It won't fit in the frame. Motor is too wide. Your looking at a MAJOR undertaking to make it a working machine.

Get an 82 series and save a lot of headache! My 0.02.

im not afraid of cutting the frame if needed to get it in there.

but, let me ask this is it possible to adapt the clutch assembly used on a 128 to a command engine?

could you convert a 128 from a mechanical pto to the newer electric pto?

This would be the easy part of the conversion. The Command would HAVE to have an electric PTO, so all you'd really have to do for that is install a switch in the dash and wire it up.

I'll leave the clutch part to the more experienced. I think, as long as the engine and transmission line up, all you should have to do is fab up a coupler assembly to hook the engine up to the clutch. Then again, the Command may sit too far forward or too far back for it to work out but again, others will chime in.

If you've got a welder and a grinder, just about anything is possible :biggrin2:

No reason you can't do an electric PTO. Here are a couple pics of a 126 with an injected Command.

Sam; in the first pic, what's the black box with the red button? And is no one allowed to push it? :biggrin2:

jesus! thats great!
i need to know more about the clutch setup.
and isnt a 126 a "narrow" frame and the 128 that i have is a "wide?"

if that 126 is yours, you dont by chance have more info of the swap do you?

Any of the aftermarket pulling suppliers will have the hub you need to put the stock clutch driver on the command flywheel.
