Little tiller time with the 1450

Thought I'd share my Easter afternoon with you guys. Took my 1450 and tiller out to my dad's to break ground on a new garden plot for him since he didn't want to use his little walk behind :biggrin2: So took it out there, unloaded, and got to work, after a photo op with one of my dads Lo-Boys of course :biggrin2:

After finding a couple UTO's (Unidentified tilling objects) in the ground, we got his plot done in no time. Took a couple passes but it turned out good. Then we took a stroll out to the machine shed to check out some of his equipment. I snapped a couple pics of some of his Cubs (one you can tell has been used in some wet gravel). Also got one of his rare IH 350 Hi-Crop with forks he uses for his shop work. He tells me they are a very rare tractor, something like only 871 made or some odd number like that.

Finally ended the day with a broken plank during loading the 1450. Luckily being a carpenter, my dad had an extra plank or two laying around so we got it loaded in short order.

So there's my Easter, hope you guys enjoyed and hope you had an equally awesome holiday!! :beerchug:

That is very cool and nice pics. I like that what looks to be a triple stage mast on the back. What is the lift height/capacity of that?

Enjoyed the pics!
Looks like the 1450 did a good job!

Awesome pics, Ryan! Thanks for sharing.

Looks good Ryan! It's dryer where you are. Guy wanted me to plow a new garden plot on Saturday. Wouldn't roll over on the first pass, then spun in the mud trying to make a second. I told him it was too wet, but he wouldn't listen. :biggrin2:

Hey, is that 350 a wide or a narrow front? If it's a HU (high utility) then that production number may be correct, there wasn't many. If it's a narrow front, (tricycle) then no, not rare at all.

Thanks guys! :beerchug:

You are correct, it is a triple stage lift. As for the capacity, I'm not sure. I know it's more than the 350 can do, he's nearly lifted the front off the ground with some bigger loads before  Lift height would be somewhere around 28-30ft (my best guess, I'll have to ask some time).

No sir, you are looking at a wide front 350 HU with a still functioning TA. :beerchug:

Tiller did a great job and it looks like fun! Wish it was dryer here so I could do the same.

Ryan,
Nice job on the tilling! Your Dad has some nice Farmall red in the shed. The 350 hi utilities are hard to find. Especially the ones with the continental diesels in em. You can tell that's a utility by the seat/rearend and the way the steering wheel angles down and not more horizontal like the rowcrops. I used to have a 350 rowcrop back in the day. Was a nice tractor. Thanks for sharing the pics! :beerchug:
