What would you carry

My 1772 has a tool box on the back. Whith the limited space what would you carry. I am thinking 3/4 wrench for 3pnt, 15/16 wrench for 3pnt plow. Extra hair pins and hitch pins. I would like to carry a hammer but any one that would fit is not really big enough to be of any help. Any ideas on what might work as hammer and also fit.

Cresent wrench. Then you can have any size wrench you need. Roll of small wire and cutting pliers. Wrap it in a tight cloth, or it will sound like a sewing machine when you drive around. Cloth can be used as a rag.

This :beer2:

I'd keep a good pair of pliers, some wire, a crescent wrench, a couple extra cotter pins, and a hitch pin. Should be a pretty good start, I know a lot of hard times have been fixed with some wire, a crescent wrench, and a pair of pliers in the field.

If your yard is anything like mine in the spring a pull strap would be nice to have on hand. I always seems to search for 1/2 an hour when I need one.

btw, Im stealing this idea and putting a tool box there as well, very handy.

Since the tractor is a 1772, I would carry a 17! :bigthink:

It would be helpful, if you go places like this;

But, I do not have room for such a box,,,,,,,,, :banned:

If I had a tool box I think I'd carry just the tools needed to operate the tractor, like the wrenches for the hitch and a couple bottles of water (for me). My luck I'd never have the right tool with me if something broke anyway and if it did break it's only a couple hundred feet at most to my real toolbox. If you're mowing more than 4 or 5 acres it might be a different story.
