Cub cadet 70
1 Attachment(s)
Ok everybody I think I have found the right place for these questions. I'm going to pick up a cub cadet 70 this Saturday, that's in kind of rough shape but I got it real cheap. It doesn't run, but ain't locked up, so I think it will be alright. I'm pretty mechanically oriented. I have access to a lathe, mill, and about any tool I could need. Let me know what you think.

Also why did someone cut the access hole over the top of the transmission

My guess on the tunnel butcher is because they needed to repair the shifter and didn't want to split the tractor. Sucks when idiots take the cheap and lazy way out. |
Welcome to OCC!
Congrats on the 70! I think it looks good. |

Welcome to OCC.
The IH built transaxles are, hands down, the toughest in the industry, that's why they are the top choice for pullers. |
im really considering what to do with this tractor i want to restore it but i dont really know what to do its nice. and i think it would make a nice tractor to take to the farm shows to ride around restored but its missing the seat and the carb i have a seat until i can find an original but i need a carb for this tractor is there anywhere i can find one halfway cheap im only 16 so i need to stay kind of low budget if at all possible although i have my grandpas shop that has a lathe and endmill and drill press and about any hand tool i could ever need.

Lots of frames out there. I just sold several for scrap.
