1" spindles

Question, where do 1" spindles come from? My 1450 has them and they have old red paint on them, the 128 has 3/4" and all my spare rims are 3/4". I see the spindles for sale from time to time, but what tractors came with them?

gsomersjr 03-14-2014 01:21 PM

Most likely they are from an 82 series.

Nitro 03-14-2014 01:22 PM

Did all '82s come with them, or are they a Super thing?

My 782 has 1" spindles. They went to 1" sometime in the late 70s. Your tractor probably came original with 1" and the red one is a replacement spindle from a previous spindle failure.

The later QL's came with 1" spindles and the 82 series had 1" spindles.

Don't slap me down, but I believe the 1 inch axles were a running change for the QL's during later production and at that point were standard.
