My new...... super?

Ok, well, it's not a super. But I don't have one of those yet, and this was the closest thing I could get for now. Buddy of mine had it, and had been bugging me about buying it. A friend of mine and I shared a tractor a while back. He owned the tractor, I owned all the attachments. He fell into financial trouble and decided to sell the tractor, and I was left with nothing to use my stuff on. Thought a Lo-Boy with 3pt would work ok. Only thing I'm not sure what I'm going to do with is that stupid reverse running PTO. Maybe I'll drop a diesel in it backwards and flip the ring gear...... :bigthink: :biggrin2::biggrin2:

Anyway, got it for a "Lew" price, and it needs some work. Lets just say, the 3pt on it is worth more than I paid. Needs driveline work, and maybe a S/G. The S/G was off of it, and I don't know why, but they said it would run..... (Heard that before.) May convert it over to a starter/alternator set-up while I'm in there. Throttle cable must have broke, and a make-shift throttle put on the R.H. side. (That will be fixed directly.) Plan on putting the taller ag tires on it, and the skinny try ribs on the front. If I don't end up liking it, I'll trade it for something I will! Let me know what you think!

I think I have all the parts. And yes, it does have individual rear brakes! The 3pt, and dual brakes were the sellers for me. I'll probably sell the deck and carriage as I really have no use for a mower that big. (But, as usually happens, later I'll be like, "Man, wish I hadn't gotten rid of that deck!")

Drive that thing around for a while, you will get a hankerin' for some 10,000 pound iron, BTDT!!

Sweet machine, the big deck is addictive, be careful!!

I know right? As if I don't already have them stacked up! Oh well, gotta have something to do. Bad news...... I have another forced "project". Trans in my truck broke over the weekend. Went to back up to the garage..... BAM! Reverse broke.

So that's what I should do with my old lazy boy! Haha :biggrin2:

That looks like a solid machine to start with, I hope it does fire up for ya. You could get a flail mower for the back, they were made to run on the backwards pto. Bummer about your truck trans, if it's not one thing it's 10!

Bill

I already do! But, as much as I would use one (quite a bit) and the fact that I don't have anywhere to keep it.... I'll wait. Someday maybe!

If you mean the seat.... yeah, I don't care for it. It'll get replaced. Besides, it's ripped in the center. Just what I need, a wet a$$!! I thought about the flail mower.... but that's not really the attachment I need (mower). I need to be able to use my ditcher, and post hole digger. The digger I think I can buy/build a reverse screw auger. Ditcher..... maybe I can make a reversed rotor for it?.... :bigthink:

As far as the PTO and a reverser..... That would be expensive! But, to my knowledge, they didn't make one for that particular PTO. The old F-Cubs PTO was the same as the Cub Cadets, and the Hub City one will work on them. This has a independent live PTO, and it just sticks out the back above the trans. I don't think they ever made one. I've been trying to figure out how to make one.... but haven't come up with anything yet. :HeadScratch:
