Cub 1000 with QA42A, video!
Thank you forum for helping me get the blower running. I have the stock 4.5" pulley. As you can see, he does a fine job moving snow...even with only 10 hp.

Nice 1000! I'm working on my 1000 now. I'm near Richmond. Where are you?

Thanks for all the support guys . After reading about all the undersize pulleys and needing to grease the shute I was a little worried. But I can say with a stock pulley and nothing but a painted shute she works great. For the wet snow that we had I honestly don't think the 10 horse would've had the power and torque needed to turn that undersize pulley if the blower was fully loaded with snow.

sawdustdad, I am in King George, not too far from Richmond. My parents live in Chesterfield, so I am down on the southside visiting fairly regularly. If you ever need a hand and I am around, I would be happy to help out. God smiled down on my and gave me a perfectly running 1000 with little over 400 hours on the clock hiding in a barn in Haymarket. I thought I was just buying a mower, little did I know I was joining a brotherhood. As a mechanical engineer by training, I love the brute simplicity and strength of these machines. There's a 1210 on clist in Stafford, but i just saw that those are MTD so i decided to pass. I've got a lot to learn! |
:Welcome2: glad you got your tractor and snow thrower up and going:beerchug: seems to do a good job.
