Say no to decals
 

Squirted my tins today...decided to pass on the black stickers that wrap under the hood..bare metal, 2k, little mud work, blocked out and shot black at the top, then when cured enough, i taped it off and shot case ih, iron guard 935....the grille frame was done the same way..does anyone know what color the seat pans are supposed to be?? No one answered my other thread...

If you are referring to the pan that the springs bolt on to, it is yellow. If that isn't the part you are talking about, can you be more specific? :bigthink:

Thanks...no i mean the actual seat...im planning to take advantage of having an upholsterer as a friend...mine is white, but looks to be a lighter white...(through all the rust of course) and i like it vs the black ones i see everywhere...

In the pics in a book I have, all the restored quietlines the seat back (metal part) is painted white. The vinyl is black. Lew (darkminion) or Roland (R. Bedel) would be my choice of go-to guys on this question though.

Not to be picky or anything, just was wondering if its the creamish 935 color or a different white...looks lighter on mine but i cant really tell, as all the panels had faded differently..i do appreciate the help

Nothing wrong with being picky. If it was mine I'd be picky about the color too! One thing I can't stand, is when the color is wrong.

I do not know the answer. In the pics I have, it appears to match the wheel rim color.

Looks Great! I used decals on my 1200,but that looks way better! The seat is the same color as the rims and hood and side panels.

Rims and hoods are different colors.

Nice , im going to paint the black on my QL too.
