Cyclop's dual hydraulics

The thread a few pages back got me to thinking about this project and I'm wondering if anybody has a picture of the dash with two valves and if anybody came up with a good solution for hydraulic hoses?

I have no pictures, but the dash is capable of housing up to three valves. As for hoses, you have a few options. First option (easiest) is find NOS or used aux hoses for a Cyclops, or perhaps ones for a 3000 series? Second option (cheapest) is to get some used lift cylinder hoses, and extend them, either with JIC or crimp couplers. Third option (IMO, best) is to machine (drill and tap) for NPT or straight, and use generic hoses, just like every other IH/early CCC Cub uses for the lift cylinder. As for the hard supply and return lines, bend the originals. Don't be afraid to cut, flare, and splice, if need be (read hose option #2). I do not know of any manufacturer who makes fittings with the goofy flanges, and these are your only options, unless you possess a die/crimper to add the said flanges, or you machine some small lock collar type flanges and rework the clamps, but a magic wand may be easier to make, and would solve more problems than this. If you go that route, I'd like a Danco loader for my O. :biggrin2:

no hose yet

Hi CNeubauer, I am going to be adding a second hydro to my 2182 later this spring. I'm waiting for the snow to stop so I can have the tractor down for a few days and not have to blow snow. I have purchased used pipe/hose from a 2182, and hopefully bring to a hydraulic shop to help with the new hose. They might reuse the pipe part and add the longer hose? Or attach to the hose part of what I've got and extend it? I will post my project of adding a second hydro when I get into it if you can wait that long. Xstream also has a second hydro hose set up that may work too. Good luck with your project. Don

I went to my local powerdrives showroom and they had everything there in stock. They made my hose with the correct ends and had the correct angle adapter out of the pump as well. The local Kubota dealer didnt have the fittings any longer and told me they would not be restocking them.

Tubing tool

If someone would purchase this tool and go in production, many of us would purchase adaptor tubes from them.

Talk about a small world. Classic Tube is owned by a good friend of mine, Paul Fix. I used to instruct for his driving school at Watkins Glen. I'll have to give him a call.

Want to supply everyone? Quit your job, have them made, and list them on eBay. :biggrin2:

The magic wand. A bit spendy, tho. I think I'll just give Andy my money.
