If you bought a 169 from John Hackimer in Berkeley Springs WV several years ago (5-10) I found the original receipt from Baldwin IH Service Center where he bought it new on July 15 1974. It was $1975 plus $280 for a 50" deck. The serial number is on the receipt-515464. If it matches your tractor you can have it. Just post a photo of your serial number plate. I know chances are slim that the new owner will see this but it's worth a shot.

If you adjust for inflation that was a lot of money back then.

Just for kicks I checked out what a 1782 with a 60" deck would cost today. I can buy a new BX with a loader and a deck for that kind of $$$
