Should I Buy A Cub Cadet 73?
 

I was thinking of buying this 73 to restore. Is it worth the $400 he is asking? What is a fully restored 73 with plow and deck worth?

That looks like a decent deal, but i would try to negotiate if you can.

I've been looking at that one also, I don't think the price is that bad but I'd try to get it a little cheaper...

I'd see if you could get it for $350.

Just my 2 cents but having lived in CT and knowing how humid that area is I would bet it will be a major PITA to get the bolts out of it. $200 would be my top number.

Fourth rarest cub, its my favorite model that I have. You might have half that amount alone in those hub caps if they're decent, cool options with 3 point and spring assist, I'm a fan.

I'm with you. Unless a tractor is in really good shape, or has rare parts, I'm a $200 kinda guy. I gave less than $400 for a 71 with fenders and lights! (non-running)

Buy it. You'll get your money back if you change your mind later. It can't hurt to offer a little less but full price is still fair. Why wait for a bargain that may or may not ever come? You can be tinkering with this one tomorrow.

The hubcaps, blade, tri-ribs, spring assist, deck, rear hitch, and seat can be sold for more than asking price.
