getting ready for snow throwing

8 Attachment(s)
I realized that the 12" of snow that fell today I would need to bring it up a notch and put the QA42 on the 123 this morning,Now this was only a mowing tractor,so it needed the full package on it,thrower, extra weights, chains, lift arm and a oil change.

Took a few pictures of the process, seems like the wife didn't want to shoot any video, too cold so no action shots but the blower worked well with no belt slippage.

The snow didn't have a chance....

Nice 123 Lew...similar story with my 129...it needed the whole makeover before I attached the QA-36B...

Nice setup but the reason you waited till today to get it ready would be?:bigthink:

Must be a Joisey thing. :biggrin2:

Yeah the wife's like"when are you going to do something today"nag nag... :biggrin2::biggrin2: But she didn't want to do any shoveling today in the snow,so I went to the shack and did the deal.

Looks good Lew :beerchug:

Nothing like a hydro for snow removal, you can always get the perfect speed.

I'm loving the hydraulic lift on the 125 I got from you. Makes lifting the QA42 easy. The WF PTO I put on yesterday works great too. Locks up great and drags the motor down burying the QA42 in the wet snow :biggrin2:

Good to hear, this has a spring assist on it but it is still a bear to lift it.

I was going to put the thrower on the 782 but I realized I needed the larger pulley with the QA36A and the snow was piling up.

Gotta get that going as it has been sitting for 4 years in the same spot .17 horse's will make that snow fly to the next door neighbors driveway :biggrin2::biggrin2:

My former 122 had both the IH spring assist plus the Brinly spring assist, that worked better but hydraulic is the way to go.

12 HP works pretty good, I image 17 HP would be even better

I had this same thought this fall, but never got it done!

Good looking set up Lew. You guys are sure getting your share of the white stuff up there. i need to check with my brother in Albany and see what he's getting. BTW That seat is super nice, still looking for one for my 123.

Lew
Looking at your pictures again, I saw you didn't use the quick attach brackets I gave you. Makes attaching the snow thrower/blade/mule drive a single bolt and lock washer on each side. Much, much easier. No fumbling with a bolt, lock washer and nut.
